Dublin Airport to Dublin City

Coming to Dublin by plane? On this page you will find information about Dublin Airport and how to reach Dublin city centre

Getting from Dublin Airport to City Centre

Dublin city only has one airport and this is the biggest airport in the whole country. There are smaller airports in Cork, Galway, Shannon and Belfast, which also link to several European cities.

From Dublin Airport it's possible to fly to many European cities (London, Rome, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Vienna, Prague...) and a few cities from the United States. All the major European airlines have some flight to Dublin and the two main Irish airlines are Ryanair and AerLingus. Both offer great deals to European cities.

All routes from Dublin Airport lead you right into the heart of the city centre: Airlink, Aircoach, public city buses or taxi.

Public City Bus

Buses are by far the cheapest option; when you arrive at Dublin airport, various buses are located outside the main arrival hall doors. To get to the city centre you can take buses 16 or 41. They run approximately every 20 minutes and take around 30 minutes to reach the city centre.

Normal Dublin fares apply, approx. €3.10 one way. Exact fare in coins is needed for the bus, as change is not given back and notes are not accepted. You can also use the leapcard for public buses.

According to the time of your arrival, if you arrive too early or too late, there may be no public buses available as they will finish around 11pm at night and start around 7am.
